Meet Donna Hicks, FNP-C

Donna Hicks, FNP-C, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with more than 10 years of experience providing comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, graduating with honors, from California State University, Dominguez Hills, and went on to receive her Master of Science in Nursing, also graduating with honors, from Walden University. She is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).

Donna's passion for healthcare began with her desire to help others and her life long interest in medicine. She chose family practice because it allows her to care for patients throughout every stage of life while addressing a wide variety of health concerns. She finds the greatest fulfillment in providing high-quality, compassionate care that makes a meaningful difference in her patients' lives. One experience that has stayed with her involved identifying a suspicious skin lesion during a routine visit for a persistent cough. After referring the patient to dermatology, the lesion was diagnosed as squamous cell carcinoma. The patient later expressed her gratitude, sharing that the early detection may have saved her life.

Outside of the office, Donna enjoys spending time outdoors hiking, kayaking, and playing tennis. She is also learning to play golf and looks forward to improving her game. A devoted wife and mother of four, she shares her home with six dogs and three cats and is passionate about animal welfare, advocating on social media to help homeless pets find loving homes. Donna is excited to be part of the AllCare team and looks forward to building lasting relationships with her patients and helping them achieve their best health.
