Meet Nneka Okpara, FNP-C

Nneka Okpara, FNP, is a Family Nurse Practitioner with experience in primary care, urgent care, and home health. She grew up in Lagos, Nigeria, and earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the College of Coastal Georgia in Brunswick, Georgia, in 2013. She later earned her Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from South University in Savannah,Georgia, in 2016. She is also a member of the American Nurses Association.

Nneka's passion for healthcare began with her desire to care for people when they are sick. She began her healthcare career as a patient care technician in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit at Memorial University Medical Center in 2010. That experience confirmed that caring for others through a career in healthcare was the path she wanted to pursue.

She chose family practice because it gives her the opportunity to care for patients across different stages of life, from younger patients to older adults. For Nneka, one of the most rewarding parts of her work is simply seeing the patients she cares for begin to feel better.

Outside of work, Nneka enjoys traveling, watching movies, and meeting new people. She has been married for 17 years and enjoys spending time with her husband and their four children.
